Kesha Embarks on High-Speed Chase in Explosive ‘Joyride’ Video

Directed by Dimitri Basil, Cooper Roussel, and Laura Gorun, the video sees Kesha racing through the desert in a hot red convertible while being chased by a helicopter, gun-toting assassins, and a shirtless dude hell-bent on catching up to the pop diva.
The video ends on an inconclusive note, while a press release teases that the action-packed video sets the stage for Kesha’s next track, “Delusional,” out Nov. 29, and “an even bigger year ahead in 2025.” Kesha gave fans a sneak peak at her next song on Wednesday, sharing an Instagram photo of a mound of bags spray painted with the upcoming song’s title.

Kesha previously dropped “Joyride” on Independence Day, celebrating her first single under her own label imprint, Kesha Records, and her first song since she settled the defamation lawsuit with Dr. Luke in June 2023, years after she filed a suit against the producer in 2014 alleging sexual, physical, and emotional abuse. The track was also the star’s first release since exiting Dr. Luke’s Kemosabe label via RCA in December, and was co-written with Madison Love and Zhone, who also produced the single.
In October, Kesha joined Charli XCX on stage to perform their recent remix of “Spring Breakers” during the Brat singer’s Sweat tour stop at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, California. Kesha also performed her own massive hit, “Tik Tok,” during he show with Charli and Troye Sivan.
