Police officers then searched Gallagher under the Misuse of Drugs Act before noticing a knife on the ground beside him.

CCTV showed him removing the blade from a pocket as he was being detained and dropping it.

Gallagher was on bail for another matter at the time and has been held in custody since his arrest.

His lawyer applied for bail while background reports are prepared, but this was refused and he was remanded in custody to await sentence next month.
