The One Direction star's death rocked the world when he fell to his death in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on October 16. After an agonising wait for his family in South America, Liam's body is finally being laid to rest.
Bidding a final farewell to the singer at a church in the Home Counties were Girls Aloud stars, Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts. The girls will be supporting their friend and bandmate, Cheryl, who is attending the funeral with Liam's son, Bear. Also in attendance today is Elizabeth Hurley's son, Damian and The Saturday's star, Rochelle Humes with husband Marvin.
Arriving at the church after Girls Aloud stars, Kimberley and Nicola, was Liam's One Direction, bandmate, Harry Styles. The As It Was star cut as sombre figure, wearing a black suit and tie as he joined the congregation to bid the much-love singer a final farewell.
Liam's tragic passing has led to an on-going police investigation in the South American country. To date, three people have been charged in connection with his death. There still remains a mystery around a missing Rolex watch. The star was seen wearing the jewellery item, worth £30,000, in CCTV images on the day he died. However, the accessory was not on his body after he fell from a third floor balcony at the CasurSur Palermo Hotel, leading to fears it may have been stolen.
Following the fall, Liam sustained "serious injuries that were incompatible with life", authorities said. An inquiry into his death is still ongoing. Geoff Payne, Liam's father, had flown out to Argentina after being informed of the tragedy. He remained there until Liam's body was cleared to fly home almost a month later.

Liam, rose to stardom as a youngster on The X Factor. His One Direction bandmates are ready to reunite for the first time in nine years at Liam's funeral. Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson last performed with Liam in Hong Kong on March 18, 2015. Zayn left the band shortly after, confirming his departure during a show in Indonesia on March 25.
After rising to fame as a five-piece on ITV's hit reality TV series, the then-teens went on to become one of the most successful groups of all time. In total, they bagged four UK number ones for tunes including What Makes You Beautiful and Little Things.
Following Liam's death, the band released a heartbreaking joint statement. The post shared on social media was signed "Louis, Zayn, Niall and Harry" and read: "We're completely devastated by the news of Liam's passing. In time, and when everyone is able to, there will be more to say. But for now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, who we loved dearly.
"The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever. For now, our thoughts are with his family, his friends, and the fans who loved him alongside us. We will miss him terribly. We love you Liam."
