Lily-Rose Depp makes rare comment about her bartender brother: ‘Maybe I’ll get some cool points’

Lily-Rose Depp has shared some rare fun facts about her brother, Jack.

The 25-year-old actress, who was born outside of Paris to Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis, has split her time between America and France over the years, while her 22-year-old sibling has stayed abroad.

Last week, it was revealed that Jack has been working as a bartender at a trendy Lebanese restaurant called L’Area in the Bastille quarter of Paris. 

Although Depp didn’t comment on his career, she did reveal her latest film, “Nosferatu,” has a unique connection to her recluse little brother.

The horror movie follows an estate agent in the 1830s who travels to Transylvania and leaves his wife, Ellen, behind with friends. However, she soon starts to experience an evil force beyond her control.

While on Monday’s episode of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” Fallon, 50, asked the young star how familiar she is with the story of Dracula.

Depp admitted, “I was always a fan of the Dracula tale.”

She added: “My brother and I were obsessed with Abbott and Costello as kids, and, you know, they have a a whole, like, ‘Meet the Monsters’ series.”

“We particularly were drawn to the ‘Meet Dracula’ one, the Bela Lugosi,” Depp elaborated.

The siblings were young when they watched the series, but it still left a mark on them.

“And my brother was, like, three or four at the time, and he started dressing up like Dracula,” she continued, “and doing these kind of, like, really serious line readings of the lines.”

It turns out this role was written in the stars for “The Idol” alum.

“So, in a way, I grew up as, like, older sister to Dracula,” Depp explained before noting her “Nosferatu” role is “totally full circle” for her.

“When I heard that, you know, when I got the opportunity to audition for this movie, I thought, like, you know, ‘How full circle, and maybe I’ll get some cool points with my bro,'” she said of Jack.

According to Daily Mail, Jack had been working at L’Arena for a few years but took a leave of absence several months ago. However, the restaurant owner, Edouard Chueke, told the outlet that Jack is expected to return to work later next year. 

“Jack is a great guy; he keeps out of the limelight, but worked here behind the bar and in the kitchen,” Chueke said.

The owner added, “He was a good employee, he left a few months ago but I expect him back later next year. Good staff are hard to find.”

And it seems like the love for L’Arena runs in the family.

“I’ve been running this place for 15 years and it’s very popular with the fashion and music crowd, but also film stars come here, and Jack’s mum Vanessa Paradis and sister are regulars,” confessed Chueke.

Depp even put her bartending skills to use during one visit. “Lily was mixing caipirinhas behind the bar and really getting into the swing of it, she was enjoying herself,” he shared.

It’s no surprise Jack opted for a life outside the spotlight, as Paradis, 51, revealed in a 2007 interview, “Now I indeed keep them away from the cameras because I don’t want our children to be forced to share in our fame against their will.”

“They didn’t ask for that. Not yet,” she continued. “The day that they will decide for themselves to do things that might bring them into the spotlights, then I won’t stop.”

Along with starring in “Nosferatu,” Depp appeared in the 2023 HBO drama “The Idol” alongside The Weeknd.

The actress is a woman of many talents, also starring in her girlfriend 070 Shake’s music video for the song “Winter Baby / New Jersey Blues.”

“I love doing this one,” Depp gushed over working with the 27-year-old musician. “This one was really special because obviously I love the song, I love the artist and it was a real family affair. It was cute.”

Depp confirmed her relationship with the rapper — whose real name is Danielle Balbuena — in 2023 with a snap of the couple kissing posted to her Instagram Story.

She captioned the pic, “4 MONTHS WITH MY CRUSH.”

Marking their first anniversary last January, Depp captioned a picture of the two, “1 <3. My dani my forever.”
