Emmerdale cancelled from TV schedules
by Robert Dalling · Wales OnlineEmmerdale fans settling down on the sofa in front of the TV to watch their favourite soap tonight will be left disappointed. The show will not air this evening, as ITV will instead broadcast England's Nations League game away to Greece at 7.45pm.
It is not the first time the show, centred on life in the Dales, has been dropped to accommodate live sport. It will return as normal on Friday. A preview of the episode reads: "Jai makes a dangerous decision, Paddy is left compromised, and Tom is threatening."
It is set to be a big couple of months for the soap, as a recent teaser appeared to confirm a character death over the festive period. For the latest TV & Showbiz news, sign up to our newsletter.
Lee Carsley will still be in charge for England this evening, despite the announcement that Thomas Tuchel is to take over as manager. The German will begin in the role next year.
