Man dies after his vehicle crashed into a bridge in North Derbyshire

A man has died following a collision near Buxton on Thursday (November 14). The incident occurred on the B5053 Buxton Road between Buxton and Longnor just before 8.30am when a Land Rover Discovery hit a bridge.

Derbyshire police said: "The driver of the Land Rover, a man in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene. His family are aware and our thoughts are with them at this time."
