Barca's Haaland Offer Revealed?

With a host of clubs clamouring for Erling Haaland's signature, Barcelona have reportedly offered the Norwegian a blockbuster deal to play at the Camp Nou.

According to Deportes Cuatro, the Blaugrana are set to make the Norwegian hitman a mammoth £157 million (R3.2 billion) offer to convince him to make the move to Catalonia.

Haaland has placed himself among elite European forwards with his exploits in Germany, having found the back of the net an astonishing 79 times in 80 Bundesliga games for Borussia Dortmund.

The striker himself has fuelled rumours of a move to LaLiga after expressing his intention to play in Spain in the not-so-distant future, and it seems the Catalan giants are willing to put together a great deal to secure the former Molde man's services.

It has now been suggested that Barcelona have put together an astronomical package for the Norway international, while it has also been claimed that head coach Xavi Hernandez flew to Germany to meet with the player this week.

It is believed the contract will be broken down as follows over five years: £16.5 million (R336 million) for his first year, just short of £25 million (R510 million) for his second and £33 million (R673 million) for the third.

The remaining two years of the massive offer will reportedly see the Dortmund striker earn between £41.5 million (R847 million) and £45.5 million (R929 million) per season.

While the forward is yet to specify which of the Spanish giants he would like to play for, his agent has reportedly informed Barca president Joan Laporta and the player's father that he "must" play for Barca.

Earlier in the year, media in Germany confirmed that, although Haaland's current contract with Dortmund runs until 2024, the Norwegian "can leave Borussia in the summer of 2022 for a fixed price of £62 million/€75 million (R1.3 billion)".
