by · RTE.ie

A Status Yellow low temperature and ice warning is in place for most counties until tomorrow morning.

The warning covers Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, Wexford, Wicklow, Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan, Munster and Connacht.

Met Éireann says this will lead to hazardous conditions due to a widespread severe frost leading to ice on untreated surfaces. The weather warning is due to expire at 10am.

A Status Orange rain warning that was issued for five counties earlier has expired.

The warning was issued for Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow and Waterford.
