Former The Only Way Is Essex star Cara Kilbey has revealed a trip to see Santa instead ended in a dash to A&E for her toddler son.

The 37-year-old reality star took her two-year-old don, Jagger, off to London to see Father Christmas. Disaster struck, however, and she was forced to change plans to seek emergency treatment for her son - just weeks after she had to race to hospital with him late at night.

She shared her ordeal via Instagram Stories where she uploaded a snap of her little boy - who fortunately looked in better spirits than his worrying trial would show. Jagger posed with his hand looking swollen and with a pacifier in his mouth.

The reality star wrote: "What was meant to be a lovely day at @hamleysofficial to see [Santa] & became another A&E Trip for Jagger. This time for a trapped finger in a door. We have a slightly fractured finger, a very brave boy and no parking ticket.... Woohooo. Because Queens Hospital use a registration recognition and you can pay at the end."

Just three weeks ago, the reality star was left outraged when she was slapped with a £100 fine when she had to rush her son to hospital late at night. Cara complained on Instagram: "Right so this really p****s me off... Jagger was really ill last week so Daniel took him to the hospital and waited around eight hours for A&E from 8pm.

"A parking charge has come through the door today for £100. This disgusts me. People go to hospitals, not for a laugh, but because someone is sick and in need. Why parking fines in hospitals? People don't have the time to pay a parking charge in a rush for A&E. At least give them seven days at least to pay the original parking fee."

Jagger is the youngest of three children that Cara shares with her partner Daniel Harris, 40. The couple are also parents to a daughter named Penelope and another son named Hunter. The couple have been together since 2014 and have endured some trials together.

In 2017, Daniel was jailed for possessing criminal property. Cara stood by his side throughout his legal troubles and the duo are happily raising their family together. Cara has been throwing herself into the festive spirit in recent days - taking her kids to see Santa at London's iconic Fortnum & Mason. Sharing highlights from her trip via Instagram, the mum-of-three wrote: "It was a Magical Weekend. Storytelling with Father Christmas at @fortnums and Apres Ski Lunch at @corinthialondon."

And the young family recently enjoyed a trip to the Paddington Bear Experience. Cara shared snaps from a family day out with Daniel and their three children around her as they all posed together with a giant Paddington Bear costumed performer.
