I'm A Celeb's Tulisa says campmates are being 'fake' as she blasts 'pally pally' stars
by Natalie King, Susan Knox · Wales OnlineIn a surprising turn of events on Monday night's I'm A Celebrity 2024, Tulisa Contostavlos was the unexpected celebrity to exit the jungle, appearing quite astonished at her departure.
As she bid farewell to the camp, Tulisa confided in Ant and Dec that the experience was "hard in there" and admitted to finding the jungle life challenging. Despite this, she maintained a positive attitude, looking forward to eating a slice of pizza after enduring weeks of a monotonous diet of rice and beans.
"You're just going to be more grateful for everything. The food you eat, the people that you love... you don't realise how good you've got it," Tulisa reflected during her conversation with the hosts. She acknowledged the "testing" nature of the jungle but took pride in remaining 'true' to herself throughout the ordeal.
The following morning, Tulisa appeared on ITV's Lorraine to delve deeper into her jungle journey, suggesting that not all campmates were as genuine as they seemed on camera.
When probed by Lorraine about forming lasting friendships in the jungle, Tulisa hesitated before responding: "I feel like I have with some of them. I think they will be friends for life. But a lot of people for the cameras were being very pally pally but the real test will be when everyone is out. Will they make the effort to send texts in the group chat? Will they do the four hour drives to see each other? We'll see..." she contemplated, reports the Mirror.
Lorraine then inquired which contestant Tulisa was rooting for to take home the crown this year, prompting an immediate response from the N-Dubz star. Tulisa has hailed Oti Mabuse as her top favourite after the two formed a close bond in the jungle, saying, "Oti is just a pure soul. She's amazing and people like her are hard to come by."
The artist also shared that she felt most connected with Alan Halsall, Maura Higgins, and Melvin Odoom during their time in the wilderness, expressing her wish to see them alongside Oti in the final four.
Upon Tulisa's departure, fans expressed their shock. One viewer remarked, "So surprised that Tulisa is the one gone."
Another voiced their support, stating, "Tulisa should've been a finalist," while a third was more forthright: "WHO THE ACTUAL F*** VOTED FOR TULISA."
"OMG nooooo not Tulisa! ! ! ! She didn't get a proper chance. This makes me so sad," lamented another fan. "Tulisa was one of the strongest character's in the jungle this year. There are so many big personalities in there and I feel like we didn't get to see her shine. Such a shame," concurred another.
During their ITV spin-off show Unpacked, presenters Ant and Dec revealed their surprise at Tulisa's exit from the show.
Both presenters were taken aback, with Dec commenting on her significant role, and Ant admitting, "That was a real shock for me that was."
Dec further reflected on the unpredictability of this year's voting, saying, "It's so hard to call it this year. There's people at home going I like them all, I don't know who to vote for, I'll vote for this person tonight," hinting that the audience might have assumed certain contestants were safe when they weren't.
