Three held for robbery in Erode

Three persons, who robbed imitation jewellery from an old woman at Mukasipidariyur in Chennimalai in Erode district on November 24, were arrested by the police on Thursday. The accused were identified as Dhanush, 21, and Mahaprabhu, 21, both from Dindigul and Dhandapani alias Ashok, 27, of Chennimalai. During a vehicle check, Chennimalai police nabbed and questioned them during which they confessed to the crime. A case was registered and the two-wheeler was seized.

Man picked up from ATM centre

A man, who was found moving under mysterious circumstances inside an ATM centre at Thindal Sengodampalayam, was picked up by the police for questioning on Thursday. At 4 a.m., a cab driver entered the national ATM attached to a bank and found a man with a small cylinder. The driver with the help of a few others nabbed the person and alerted the Erode North police. No damage was caused to the ATM machine and the police took him to the station for questioning.
