Rajampet Assembly constituency tops in TDP membership drive

About 52 lakh members have enrolled themselves till date, says party supremo Chandrababu Naidu; recalling the hard work put in by cadres and leaders for the victor of NDA allies, he exhorts them to keep up the tempo to win the 2029 elections as well

Rajampet, Kuppam, Kalyanadurgam, Palakol, Atmakur, Mangalagiri, Kanigiri, Kodu, Vinukonda and Kavali Assembly constituencies emerged as the top 10 in that order in implementing the TDP’s membership drive.

TDP national president and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu appreciated the local leaders for the achievement during a video-conference with the MPs, MLCs, MLAs and constituency incharges on November 27 (Wednesday).

On the occasion, Mr. Naidu said it was due to the hard work of the leaders and grassroot workers that the TDP and its allies had secured an emphatic victory over the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), and they should keep up the tempo to win the 2029 elections.

He said the ruling coalition had the daunting task of putting the State back on track after it suffered during the YSRCP regime.

Mr. Naidu said the party activists had worked for the victory of NDA allies like never before, and they did not even care for their lives. Such was the passion with which they fought the YSRCP, which was won 11 seats with a slender margin.

The membership drive was launched on October 26, and 52.45 lakh members had enrolled themselves till date, Mr. Naidu said, and lauded the efforts made by IT Minister Nara Lokesh for aggressively taking it forward.

The memberships registered were: Rajampet - 93,697, Kuppam - 82,492, Kalyanadurgam - 77,764, Palakol- 72,726, Atmakur - 66,339, Mangalagiri - 65,778, Kanigiri - 60,101, Kodur - 54,138, Vinukonda - 50,567 and Kavali - 49,018.
