After permission to operate outside the port limit was given to the team by DG Shipping, on-scene commander Capt. Bibhu Sahoo along with pilot Captain Pushpendra, security head major Venkatesh Bhaskar and Tug master Brijesh with his crew ensured the safety of all personnel involved in the challenging weather conditions. The rescue operation lasted for almost 12 hours in darkness.

The rescue operation was coordinated by Head Marine Captain Rajat Garg and closely monitored by the Tirupati Collector’s office, MHA, CMO, DG Shipping and Fisheries Department. The AKPL management thanked the rescue operation team.
