Traffic curbs in Thripunithura from November 29

Traffic through Thripunithura town will be regulated from Friday (November 29) to December 6 on account of the Vrishchikolsavam festival at the Sree Poornathrayeesa Temple.

Traffic from Statue Junction to the temple will be fully banned. Vehicles from the direction of the Thripunithura private bus stand and headed to Eroor, Petta, Vyttila, and Ernakulam should take the Layam Road from Statue and proceed along the Elamana Road on the western side of the Chakkamkulangara temple and then take the Vadakkekkotta Road at Abhishekam Hall and proceed along NH 85.

Vehicles from near Vadakkekkotta will not be allowed entry to Layam Road through Elamana Road. Parking will also be banned along the aforementioned roads.

Meanwhile, the footbridge along both sides of the Iron Bridge, which is in a dangerous state, remain permanently closed, says PWD officials.
