Driver loses control after bus hit a divider before overturning

A bus carrying Sabarimala pilgrims from Tiruttani in Tiruvallur district of Tamil Nadu overturned at Anjumoorthy Mangalam, Vadakkencherry, on the national highway 544 in the early hours of Thursday (November 28, 2024), injuring 15 persons. The accident took place about 30 km from Palakkad town in Kerala.

The driver lost control after the bus hit a divider before overturning. The police said a lorry then rammed the bus from behind after it had turned over, but this impact had little effect.

The injured were shifted to Government Taluk Hospital at Alathur. Hospital sources said none suffered any serious injuries.
