Controller of Defence Accounts conducts SPARSH outreach programme for pensioners in Visakhapatnam

The SPARSH Outreach Programme was conducted by the Controller of Defence Accounts(CDA), Secunderabad, in coordination with the Area Accounts Office (Army), Visakhapatnam, and the SPARSH Service Centre, Visakhapatnam, as part of the Digital Life Certificate (DLC) campaign 3.0 at Samudrika Auditorium, near Naval Base, here on Friday.

The programme was aimed at educating pensioners and family pensioners about the various facilities provided by SPARSH, including the robust grievance redressal mechanism. Dedicated counters were set up to assist pensioners with registration, life certificates through FACE APP/MLC/DLC, pension-related anomalies, grievance redressals, and on-the-spot solutions provided by the CDA team.

B. Bala Jawahar, IDAS, Additional CDA, Area Accounts Office (Navy) Visakhapatnam, told the pensioners about the benefits of the SPARSH Programme. He said that any issues faced by the pensioners in these early stages would soon be resolved.

G. Changal Rao, IDAS, ACDA, along with his team consisting of Abdul Hafieze, SAO, and K.G.S.V. Prasad, SAO, addressed some of the grave grievances. The event saw good response, with more than 300 veterans participating actively.
