The latest romance rumor that’s taken over the Maria Hive involves Pete Davidson—and the Bach Nation fave wasted no time to shut it down. On November 19, Maria posted a series of messages on her Instagram Stories to clarify her connection to the comedian. “Never dated Pete,” she wrote. “False rumor! I’m friends with his sister. Case closed.”

Her statements come after The U.S. Sun reported that the Saturday Night Live alum was in “bad shape” and returning to treatment for the second time this year. An insider told the outlet that Pete checked into rehab after the end of his “secret relationship” with Maria.

“He checked into rehab in Florida fairly recently,” the source said, explaining that Pete “flew in on a private jet” and that “he’s not in a good place.”

“He ended a fling with Maria just before he checked in,” the source said, adding that the pair had only been dating for “a couple of months.” According to Maria, the relationship never even happened.

In another Instagram Story, she added, “Just spoke to his sister, he’s not in rehab and has been sober for months. Can’t believe this shit. It’s very insulting to his recovery and my mental health. He’s literally home.”

Another source close to Pete doubled down, telling Page Six that the rumors surrounding him and Maria aren’t true. “He’s not in rehab,” the second source added, confirming that the comedian is currently in New York.
