by · WORLD OF BUZZ

Following an entire night of downpours, multiple areas in Klang have been hit by floods, causing inconveniences to the residents and those who were commuting to work this morning (November 29).

In a viral TikTok post by @anak_pak_mael, as of 2:44 AM, residents in Meru, Klang had to deal with the flood when the water level started to rise, submerging part of their houses.

In another TikTok post by a restaurant operator @cafesalim, he announced that he would be halting operations for today due to the rising floodwater, which started before 2 AM. Based on his live video this morning and as of 10 AM, the rain has stopped but the water level has risen to knee-level, causing traffic congestion in the area of Jalan Paip in Meru, Klang.

“If you must come to Meru, please look for other alternatives. The trailers and lorries can make it through but not the cars.”

Other areas such as Pangsapuri Impian Meru and Jalan Rambutan were also affected

In another circulating Facebook video, multiple cars were seen stuck in the floodwaters last night (November 28) on the highway in Klang headed to Setia Alam, when it was still pouring.

In Setia Taipan 2, many drivers braced slowly through the flood water last night.

As of 10 AM this morning, the rain in Shah Alam and Klang has stopped
