Rod Stewart blasts Gregg Wallace in brutal statement interaction with wife Penny

The rock star's statement came as Gregg stepped back from the show as the BBC launched an investigation into misconduct allegations.
Gregg has refuted claims of inappropriate sexual comments he is alleged to have made. Former Newsnight presenter Kirsty Wark is among 13 individuals who have accused the MasterChef host of making unsuitable sexual remarks, according to BBC News.
Gregg was said to be "committed to fully cooperating throughout the process", the show's production company Banijay UK told the PA news agency. Sir Rod took to social media and wrote: "Good riddance Wallace... You humiliated my wife when she was on the show, but you had that bit cut out didn't you?." He futher insulted the star, and added: "Karma got ya. Sir Rod Stewart."

Penny participated in Celebrity MasterChef in 2021 and made it to the quarter final. Kirsty Wark, one of the accusers against Gregg, appeared on the BBC cooking show in 2011.
A statement from Banijay UK, the production company behind the show, to the PA news agency, said: "This week the BBC received complaints from individuals in relation to historical allegations of misconduct while working with presenter Gregg Wallace on one of our shows. Whilst these complainants have not raised the allegations directly with our show producers or parent company Banijay UK, we feel that it is appropriate to conduct an immediate, external review to fully and impartially investigate."
It continued: "Whilst these are historical allegations, incidences brought to our attention where these expectations are not met, are thoroughly investigated and addressed appropriately."
