The Tamil Nadu Forest Department plans to demarcate an area measuring approximately 37 sq. km surrounding the Mukurthi National Park (MNP) as an ‘Eco-Sensitive Zone’, sources from the department and the Nilgiris district administration confirmed to The Hindu.
