Fallon Sherrock's net worth, partner and health battle ahead of PDC World Championships

by · Manchester Evening News

Fallon Sherrock, the history-making darts player, is back at her familiar territory and could once again set Ally Pally ablaze by securing a match against Luke Littler.

The star, hailing from Milton Keynes, shot to fame in 2019 when she triumphed over Ted Evetts and Mensur Suljovic, becoming the first woman to defeat a man at the World Darts Championship. Since then, she has graced both the Grand Slam and Premier League stages, hit a televised nine-darter - another first for a female player - and was honoured with an MBE.

As she returns to Alexandra Palace, fans are once again expecting something special. Here, MEN Sport has taken a look at her life outside of darts.

Net worth

Despite earning only £210,521 in career earnings according to the PDPA, Sherrock is believed to have surpassed the £1million mark in net worth through sponsorship deals following her Ally Pally success. Although she hasn't yet won a ranking title on the PDC main circuit, her rapidly accumulated wealth - the exact amount of which remains undisclosed but is likely in the healthy six figures - is all the more remarkable.

However, she has claimed a Women's World Matchplay trophy and enjoyed significant success in the WDF, reaching the BDO Ladies' World Championship final in 2015.

Dating

After meeting at the Modus Super Series, Sherrock and her partner Cameron Menzies have quickly become the 'it' couple of the darts world. From engaging in virtual matches over Zoom during lockdowns to improving their gameplay – each credits the other for enhancing their game.

Glasgow's own Menzies particularly feels the beneficial effects. "Sometimes, we play each other, and the winner decides who does the dishes or if we get the Chinese... As you can see by my size, I usually win! Don't get me wrong, being with Fallon has improved my darts tenfold," Menzies told the Mirror.

"I've been with Fallon three-and-a-half years and you can see my darts have improved tenfold in the last three-and-a-half years. But despite how much I love her and how much I want her to do well... I don't like losing to her!"

Menzies has soared to new heights this year, breaking into the top 40 and making an impressive impact at the Grand Slam. Sherrock is no less distinguished, clinching three Women's Series titles, setting her up for another shot at Ally Pally fame and the chance to face Littler.

Health

Delving into Sherrock's offstage battles, the darts star has opened up about personal health challenges in the past. Having lived with a serious kidney condition since 2014, Sherrock candidly shared her ongoing fight with the disease.

"I'm still having to manage the illness," she revealed to the Daily Star. "My kidneys are only working to 23 per cent of their capacity, and I have to maintain them at that level because if it went down to 15 per cent, you're looking at dialysis.

"I used to have medication lined up in a row of bottles, but now I'm just on calcium tablets for my bones, sodium tablets for my kidneys – about three per day. I also need an injection once a week, which is self-administered, plus a blood transfusion every six months or so to keep the iron levels up.

"If you saw how much water I drink every day, I probably drink more than I should, but I don't think people realise how tired I get. I can be busy, busy, busy for four or five days on the trot, but as soon as I stop, that's me done – I'm wiped out for a week."
