OnePlus 13 to be more expensive than the OnePlus 12
by Vlad · GSMArena.comThe OnePlus 13 is getting official in a few hours, and ahead of that a last-minute rumor claims to give us the pricing for all versions. If these prices pan out, then the OnePlus 13 will be CNY 500 ($70) more expensive than its predecessor when it launched last year.
The entry-level version will have 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, priced at CNY 4,799 ($675), followed by the 12/512GB variant at CNY 5,299 ($745), the 16/512GB iteration at CNY 5,799 ($815), and the top level 24GB/1TB option should go for CNY 6,299 ($885).
Obviously do keep in mind that these are prices for the Chinese market, and pricing for the international version will be higher whenever that launches. For comparison's sake, note that the OnePlus 12 started at CNY 4,299 ($605).
The reason for the price hike is the general increase in cost for the main components, such as Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset which is powering the OnePlus 13. This has been rumored to be 25-30% more expensive than last year's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Other components have gone up in price too.
According to its recent certification for sale in China by TENAA, the OnePlus 13 has a 6.82-inch 1440p screen with 120 Hz refresh rate, a 32 MP selfie camera, a trio of 50 MP cameras on the back (main, ultrawide, telephoto), and a 6,000 mAh battery with support for 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.
