Ninja air fryer slashed by £70 in surprise Amazon sale - and it's selling fast
by Nisha Mal · BristolLiveAmazon has reduced the price of a single-basket Ninja air fryer in a surprise sale. If you are hoping to gift someone an air fryer for Christmas or fancy an upgrade ahead of making the dinner on December 25 this discount could be of interest to you. The Ninja Air Fryer MAX PRO was £169.99 but has been reduced to £99.99 - a saving of £70.
The Ninja device has a 6.2L capacity and six cooking functions, including Max Crisp, Air Fry, Roast, Bake, Reheat, and Dehydrate. For context on its size, it can cook up to four chicken breasts at a time. Ninja describes it as ideal for cooking for up to four people.
The Air Fryer MAX PRO is a popular buy on Amazon, with more than 8,000 devices being snapped up in the last month alone. One five-star review reads: "I love my Ninja and definitely recommend it, particularly to a single person or a couple, because it is just the right size. I am very elderly, but I found it easy to use, and I have cooked many meals with it.

"One meal I cooked was a bacon joint, which was ready in 30 minutes and was perfectly cooked. I added vegetables to the bacon and had a meal ready in no time. This Ninja is definitely worth the money, and even better for me because I got it at a good reduced price."
A second bought it for other caravan, writing: "We bought this smaller version for use in the caravan. Very quick, ideal for two people, and cooks great. It saves using the gas, which is of course less environmentally friend, and the electric is part of hooking up, so it also reduces cost.
"It’s much quicker than preheating the oven and cooks much quicker than the gas oven as well. I’d suggest wetting the mesh shelves and silicone liner to make cleaning easier. You can also remove the grill plate in the bottom and make a great curry, fries, and it’s easy to make naan pizzas. Much more versatile than the regular oven."
A third pleased buyer noted: "I haven’t used my cooker oven since I bought this, and it’s so easy to use. I got this because I’m disabled and find it extremely difficult and painful using my cooker because of all the bending down. This is easy to use and very easy to clean!"
"I’m enjoying using my new air fryer, and I’m looking forward to trying out all the recipes I can for this. The baked potatoes are awesome!"
However, not all were pleased, with one saying the non-stick coating on their device didn't last long. They explained: "I initially gave it five stars and I love having an air frier. But the non-stick surface on the tray has given up after just one year of use, which I think at this price point is unacceptable."
Another customer ran into a problem with the seal lining on the drawer, explaining: "Have used almost daily for a year. However, the seal around bottom drawer has melted, and now the door won't close properly. Not sure if I would repurchase again."
Over at Currys, you can buy a selection of similar-sized air fryers, including this Tower Vortx T17147 Air Fryer, priced at £44.99. The 4.2-litre capacity device can fry, roast, grill, and bake. The handy 'shake reminder' function lets you know when it's time to shake your food so it is evenly cooked.
Meanwhile, at Argos, you can buy this Cookworks 5L Air Fryer for £60. It has ten cooking programmes and up to 200 degrees Celsius temperature settings. The air fryer has an estimated maximum food capacity of 1 kg and can cook up to 3-4 portions of food at a time.
