Bristol’s newest mini golf venue in pictures ahead of opening in city centre

A new mini-golf venue will open tomorrow (Tuesday, December 17) as final preparations are underway ahead of the latest leisure brand to open in Bristol. Treetop Golf will finally open following Jungle Rumble’s closure earlier this year in Cabot Circus.

The venue will feature two 18-hole courses with five different zones along each route. No round of mini golf is quite complete without the 19th hole where players can win a free game, as long as they can score a hole-in-one.

Each zone will take guests on a journey to see “unique landmarks and meet memorable characters". Founded in 2015, Treetop Golf will give guests a “complete sensory experience” with vibrant visuals, dynamic audio and forest aromas in a brand first.

The refit of the retail unit on the top floor of the shopping centre cost £2.5 million and is spread out over 17,000 sq ft. The courses, Tropical Trail and Ancient Explorer, are both set amongst dense rainforests with plenty of plantation.

In addition to the mini golf courses, an area known as “The Market” features three vendors serving a range of food and drink options. Pizza Cabana will serve homemade pizzas, the Jungle Buzz Cafe will serve coffee and snacks, and the Thirsty Toucan will serve alcoholic beverages, using local suppliers including Left Handed Giant and the New Bristol Brewery.

General Manager Roo Collins, when announcing the opening in May, said: "Bristol’s always been close to our hearts. There’s nowhere else like it, and now that we’re here, we’re so excited to bring an experience that matches the city’s fun, adventurous spirit.

"Travellers can sample the finest tastes of the rainforest thanks to partnerships with the passionate community that surrounds us. We’re all about going local – supporting our neighbourhood and showing off the flavours that make the city so special.”
