Popular tapas restaurant shares CCTV as cheeky diner 'takes home' more than a doggy bag
by James Holt · Manchester Evening NewsA popular tapas restaurant has shared CCTV appearing to show a cheeky diner pocketing a light from their table. Campo Blanco, in Whitefield, shared the footage to their social media pages as they issued a direct plea to the customer.
The clip appears to show a diner leaning over the table during their meal and picking up a small battery powered light. She appears to switch it off before then slowly placing it in her coat pocket.
Sharing the clip on Sunday (December 15), the restaurant owners cropped out the identities of those involved, but warned they would report it to the police if they were not returned by Christmas Eve.

Posting about the incident online, the venue said: "We love our new table lights too. We actually can’t get them anymore as they’ve stopped making them so please bring them back. Also, they aren’t yours!

"You have until Christmas Eve to return them with no questions asked. If not, we will tell Santa to put you on the naughty list. And by Santa, we mean The Police. Cheers. Merry Christmas."
There were a number of responses in the comments, as one person said: "I hate anything like this. What’s wrong with people."
Another responded: "You wouldn't believe the amount of people that think this is perfectly ok to do. Makes me so annoyed! Theft is theft!!!" As a third replied: "What is actually wrong with people!? Honestly it blows my mind !"
