Scores of applications are already flooding in from all corners of the UK. Many Aldi supporters have been keenly arguing their cases as to why they are the ultimate Superfans deserving of this unique reward.
Submissions for the coveted Superfan Card conclude tonight, at which point Aldi's panel will meticulously sift through the entries to appoint the victor. Richard Thornton, Communications Director, said: "We know how passionate our customers are about Aldi.

The typical British household currently outlays roughly £4,124 yearly on food shopping, according to the Office for National Statistics. How to enter:
To bag a year's worth of free shopping, Aldi superfans aged 18 or over need to pen a short application of no more than 250 words explaining why they deserve the prize. Entries should be emailed to aldicompetitions@citypress.co.uk, along with the entrant's name, age and location.

It comes as earlier this month, Which? awarded Aldi as the cheapest supermarket in the UK for September. Its average food shop based on 59 items cost £102.68. Lidl came in close second wih £103.86, followed by Asda with £112.19.
